Ingredients:
4 chicken thighs
2 cloves garlic, peeled and chopped
1 onion, peeled
½ tsp ground black pepper
½ tsp sugar
5 tbsp. light soy sauce
3 tbsp. white vinegar
4 tbsp. oil
4 tbsp. water
1 bay leaf
Directions
Cut onion into quarters.
Cut chicken thighs into thick slices.
Place chicken thighs in a frying pan, skin side down, and fry about 8 minutes on every side.
Remove from frying pan and set aside.
In the same frying pan, stir-fry garlic and onion for 5-6 minutes.
Add remaining ingredients to frying pan and mix well.
Return chicken thighs.
Increase heat to high and bring the mixture to a boil.
Then reduce heat to low, cover and simmer for 40 minutes.
Dish out and serve hot.
